As a local San Diego family photographer, I was recently featured in a Redfin article after they asked me about my favorite San Diego fun fact.

Here’s what I gave them as my favorite San Diego fun fact:

Did you know that in San Diego, you can surf and sled on the same day??

During the winter, you can head out to one of our local beaches to surf, then head east about 60 miles, into the Cuyamaca, Laguna, or Palomar Mountains. But don’t forget your sled, because if there’s been a winter storm, you can spend the afternoon sledding.

I’ve found that even many long-time San Diegans don’t know about our wonderful local mountains, so plan a visit sometime to hike, camp and dine (or sled!) next time you’re looking for a fun family activity.
